Concord Museum

Directions

The town of Concord is approximately 20 miles west of Boston. The Concord Museum is easily accessible from Route 495 or Route 128, via Route 2, and is located 1/4 mile east of Concord Center, at the intersection of Lexington Road and Cambridge Turnpike; entrance is on Cambridge Turnpike; parking is free.

From Route 95/128
Take exit 29 marked Route 2 West. Go through the first traffic light at Bedford Road. At the second traffic light, there is an intersection with a Mobil Station. Most of the traffic will bear left to continue on Route 2, but you will go straight across the intersection. You are now on Cambridge Turnpike. The Museum is one mile down on the right hand side.

From Route 495
Take exit 29 marked Route 2 East. Follow for approximately 5½ miles, going through the rotary to the first traffic signal (Elm Street). Take a left at the signal. At the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Elm Street. Follow Elm Street to the end and then turn left onto Main Street/ Rt. 62. Follow Main Street through the town center to the rotary at the flagpole. Turn right onto Lexington Road. Go approximately 1/3 of a mile to the fork in the road. Take the right hand fork (Cambridge Turnpike). The Museum is immediately on your left.

From Route 126
Follow 126 North to Route 2, passing Walden Pond. At Route 2, turn right. At the next traffic signal, with the Mobil Station on the corner, make a left. The Museum is one mile from this intersection on the right hand side.

Via MBTA from Boston
Take the Red Line train to Porter Square stop. At Porter, take the Fitchburg commuter rail. Get off at Concord station. See walking directions below.

From Concord Train Station
The Museum is a mile walk from the Concord Train Station. Once you have exited the station, cross the street at the intersection as if you are going to the Mobil Station (Sudbury Road). Then turn left and continue down Sudbury Road until you reach Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street and go straight through town, approximately 2 blocks, until you reach the rotary at the Town Green. At the rotary, bear right onto Lexington Road (the large white Unitarian Universalist Church will be on your right; the Colonial Inn will be at your back). The Museum is 1/4 of a mile down between the fork in the road. Bear right onto Cambridge Turnpike for the Museum entrance.
